MarkerGene^TM Live Cell Luciferase Assay Kit 

This kit contains synthetic D-luciferin, the primary substrate of the firefly luciferase light producing system, as well as a luciferase assay buffer (10 mL, for a 1 mM reagent concentration), and other reagents, enough to perform 1000 assays using a microtiterplate format (100 uL reaction volume, 0.1 mM final reaction concentration).

The synthetic beetle luciferin substrate contained in the kit is also available separately as a lyophilized powder D-Luciferin, Product M0237. Consult the Product information sheet (above) for more details on the assay protocol.

MarkerGene^TM Hydrophobic Protein Analysis Kit 

The Hydrophobic Protein Analysis Kit allows fast and easy measurement of proteins in complex mixtures using either solution analysis or 1D- or 2D-SDS-PAGE analysis. Both denatured or native conformations of proteins isolated from cell preparations can be analyzed. The kit uses the environment-sensitive fluorescent probe 2-p-toluidinylnapthalene-6-sulfonic acid (TNS) (Product M0704). TNS is practically non-fluorescent in water or buffer solutions, but exhibits a strong fluorescence enhancement when bound to hydrophobic regions of proteins. By incorporating the TNS dye in standard gel-electrophoresis procedures, hydrophobic proteins (typically from membranes) become fluorescent. Try this new kit with your proteomic analyses today!

MarkerGene^TM Live:Dead Assay Kit 

Our Live:Dead Assay Kit allows fast and easy measurement of both living and dead cells by measuring intracellular esterase activity (live cells) and staining of nucleic acids in chromatin (dead cells) in vitro, in cell culture using the fluorescent substrate 5(6)-carboxyfluorescein diacetate (Product M0011) and the membrane impermeant DNA stain, propidium iodide(Product M0793). The assay is amenable to high-throughput assays (fluorescence microtiterplate systems), FACS analysis and for staining of live mammalian, bacterial or yeast cells in culture.
